3:16 Swimbaits

Located in Orange County California, the 3:16 lure company was started back in the year 2000 by owner & designer Mickey Ellis. After countless hours of careful development and testing, Mickey released the first, and still the only, truly weedless swimbait called the Mission fish. With it's hidden hook design, the Mission fish revolutionized the swimbait industry with it's ability to be fished in structure and cover that would surely snag any other swimbait on the market. The Mission fish can be fished through tullies, flooded timber, or shaken through heavy grass beds triggering vicious reaction strikes from fish that are not accustomed to seeing swimbaits in these areas. The Mission fish comes in 16 different colors and 6 sizes and combines incredible swimming action with great attention to detail with it's holographic eyes.

Following the success of the Mission fish, it was back to the drawing board for 3:16 lures and in 2003 we saw the release of the Sidewinder, Top Dawg, and Bluegill swimbaits. The Sidewinder was one of the first truly lipless swimbaits with it's seductive side to side swimming action and it's versatility in the mid to deep depth applications. The Top Dawg is yet another innovative topwater swimbait featuring a cupped head design which allows you to "walk the dog" or "chug it" on the surface calling up the most finicky fish from the depths for a violent strike. The 3:16 Bluegill swimbait came out giving angler's a truly fishable, realistic bluegill bait that runs true whether you slow roll it or burn it at high speed.

One year later in 2004, we saw the release of the hard baits from 3:16 Lures. The Armageddon, Wake, and Wake bait Jr models rocked the swimbait world to it's foundation with their ultra-realistic finishes and unparalleled swimming action. These baits are truly works of art and feature the highest quality of craftsmanship and top of the line components. Words alone don't do them justice, you have to see these baits in the water with your own eyes to believe it.
