Personally I like these much better than any spinner bait and as far as poor hookup is concerned, hang a treble hook on it "problem solved" not to mention it will rip the grass which bass like.

What is there to be said that hasn't already been said about Basstrix? This bait is so versatile it can be fished in any type of cover, deep or shallow it has worked for me everywhere. This is by far the number one tournament swimbait for me and is a bait that will definitely build your confidence. IMO the knockoffs aren't as good. Great bait. SBN:Zachattack

This bait has been knocked off a dozen times and I've tried several of the other versions (when this bait was scarce) I'm telling you there is a difference. The only guys I've talked to who say there isn't are the guys who have only thrown te other brands and they're guessing. These baits are especially effective now that there are more hook styles to fish them on. Extremely versitile...great bait.

Best hollow belly paddletail around still

First off despite the hype hollow bellies are not magic baits, I don't care what Jay Yelas says. But they are a great clear water alternative to a spinnerbait. I have tried several paddle tails but this is the best I have used. The action is better the colors are better and you get a good number of baits for the money. The only problem I have is it can be hard to find a hook for these baits and it would nice if one was put in with the baits. I bought some berkley hollowbellies just because that was the only way I could get a 6/0weighted hook. I fish all my hollowbellies where you would a spinnerbait only not in water where you cant see at least 3ft. A steady retrieve is all it takes but I do sometimes think speed makes a big difference. I have to warn anybody who hasn't tried these baits you will miss some fish especially anything under say 18inches. Fish seem to grab the tail and if you wait you will catch more but still you get a lot of fish that slay at the bait. But if you want something different for clear water and big bass the Basstrix Lures Paddle Tail Tube Swimbait is a good choice. You need to have at least 1 hollow belly swimbait so why not get the best.

The basstrix is the finest hollow bellied swimbait you can buy. These baits have the action that makes the bass bite. They are very versatile, and can be fished on regular gear. My only gripe about them is that they tear REALLY easily. But, if you are lucky enough to get them back after catching a fish, you can use some soft plastic glue to repair them to be like new. Don't settle for the copies, get the real deal.
