Basstrix Lures is located in North Hollywood, California and is owned and operated by Bruce Porter. Bruce and his highly skilled staff came into the bait making business in the year 1996 and since then have created some of the most innovative baits in the industry. The Flash-trix finesse bait is a tube style lure with a life-like profile and light refracting qualities that mimic the flash of a real bait fish in the water. The Flashtrix baits come in a 3" & 4" size and fourteen different colors and are most commonly used in a drop shot application. The Flashtrix colors are: blue smoke, chartreuse blue, golden shiner, milky white, morning dawn, pin head, silver ghost, stickle back, Tennessee shad, trout, violet shad, baby bass, smelt, and emerald minnow. The Basstrix Fat Minnow SJB (soft jerk bait) is another great hollow bodied bait that is highly reflective and features a split-tail design that fools them every time. The SJB minnow comes in 4",5" & 6" sizes and in the following colors: trout, shad, pearl, hologram shad, chartreuse blue, blue back herring, baby bass, hitch, ayu, Tennessee shad, thread-fin shad, top smelt and hitch#2. The Basstrix Blue Gill Bait Fry is another great bait which has flat sides with a hollow body and closely resembles a small fleeing baitfish or bluegill when rigged on a jig head or nose hooked on a drop shot. The Blue Gill Bait Fry measures 4" and comes in two colors: bluegill and chartreuse bluegill. The Basstrix Bait Fry is very similar to the bluegill series except for it is a little bit smaller measuring in at 3.5" and comes in the colors of: shad, thread-fin shad, and perch.

The bait that made an everlasting mark on the fishing industry and started a coast to coast swimbaiting phenomenon is the Basstrix Paddle Tail Tube Swimbait. This is perhaps one of the most fish catching swimbaits to ever hit the water and since it's inception, there has been numerous attempts to copy it by other lure manufacturers. When it comes to quality control, you would be hard pressed to find anybody with higher standards than Bruce Porter. All phases of production are overseen by Bruce and quality baits are his number one priority. The process of making Basstrix lures is highly proprietary but I can tell you that they are made by hand and you won't find these baits being mass produced by machinery or injection molding. The quality speaks for itself when you look at any Basstrix lure or tie one on your line.
