My standard worm hook will always be a Gamkatsu EWG. While I still use other hooks I have yet to see fish prefer the old roundbend hooks. The thing to keep in mind is the EWG are almost a light wire hook and will bend. If you are fishing anytime you think you might need to put a lot of pressure on the fish go with the superline version. The standard EWG will bend under pressure. I have yet to straighten one out but I have bent plenty of EWG hooks and had to replace them when I should have been using a superline. DO NOT try to bend the hook back if it gets bent replace it. They will bend again easier the next time and are not as strong. They are not expensive anyway. For the price you cant find better hooks than the EWG and while they aren't for every situation they are the ones I choose most often.
