Ideal for pegging anything under 3/8oz

First your better off using a peg strip on a sinker 3/8oz or bigger. Besides you should be using tungsten anyway for anything that size or bigger. But personally I find it hard to peg smaller sinkers with a peg strip especially smaller than 1/4oz. That's why keep some small screw in weights in my box. While they have some downside, they tear up baits quicker. I haven't found another way I like to peg small sinkers that isn't hard on my line. Also watch the plastic tube on the sinker because braided line can cut it and I have seen it nick up my line. But the smaller screw in weights will always have place in my box.

rough on soft plastics

These weights are ideal for presentations that require a pegging technique. They screw in the soft plastic very easily and stay put until you catch a fish. The problem with these is that they rip out of the plastic on hooksets and you are left with a very rough end of the plastic bait. From there on, it is very difficult to get the sinker to stay in place. I have quit using these and just use bobber stops with regular bullet weights. SN name: bd pettit
