The Huddleston Deluxe is the hottest swimbait in the country! With its absolutely unbelievably realistic trout and hitch imitations it is not hard to see why. The bait comes in four different fall rates 0, 5, 12 and 16. It was designed by one of the premier lure designers on the West Coast, Ken Huddleston. The Huddleston Deluxe swimbait combines the most realistic look and swimming action we have seen. This is truly a big fish bait and
BassTackleDepot keeps a large selection in stock! The Huddleston Deluxe has a wire harness that runs through the bait with an eye on the head and an eye on the belly. Simply add a split ring to the belly and a hook of your choice. A 2/0 round bend treble hook is recommended but many prefer EWG frog Hook. The 12 and 16 feature a hook molded into the bait on the top so you can fish them on the bottom without snagging or a treble can be added if needed. The 0 and 5 do not have the pre-molded hook. The rate of fall numbers determine what depth the bait is best suited for and takes the guess work out bait selection. All models are eight inches in length.

Maybe the best trout swimbait ever

I hope you know what a Huddleston is but if you don't its the most popular swimbait for trophy hunters ever. There is only one time I throw this bait and that's when I am after a Trophy. I never use it in tournament where I am from because its not a bait you pickup and catch a quick kicker fish. Its a bait you mush commit to. In fact unless your a big swimbait fisherman you wont have a big rod to throw it. It weighs in at about 5oz and really you want a rod rated at 5-6oz to throw it. It takes dedication to use but the results could be the fish of a lifetime. The action is the standard as well as the color patterns. The trout looks good enough to eat and the detail is amazing. Each ROF has different uses but I only use the 12ROF now. Its the most versatile I think and lets you fish 3-20ft deep. The ROF 0 is really a underrated topwater that is great deadsticked I hear. Each ROF has its place. The biggest knock is this bait is not great around cover and it doesn't last forever but the new prices make it more easy to swallow. My suggestion if own a rod to throw one get one and try it out some. Make long casts (get a big reel) on 20 or 25mono and just reel it slow take your time. Fish it over deep clear water and hang on. I also add a stinger behind the back fin usually a 2/0. And keep in mind you need to add a treble to the shallower ROF versions. Another big key is take care of your bait and glue any tears. Its not for everybody but this bait is a trophy catching machine plain and simple.

This is hands down one of the must have swimbaits. With different hudds you can cover all of the water column depending on the ROF that you choose. Great colors, great action, and now lower prices.

Much has already been said about this bait and I agree with most of it. The effectiveness of this bait is undenyable. I have had success with all three of te ROF's I mentioned at the top. It seems most guys think of it as a trout imitator...and for good reason...but I have had tremendous success using a 0 ROF in the brown-back in lakes with carp populations. Big bass absolutely crush it.

Cant really say anymore than has. But if you can have 1 and only 1 swimbait. A HUDD is the only option in my book and probably 90% of the other swimbait fisherman. Plus at 15 bucks shoot get two. kingskilla

BEST swimbait ever made

Another must have. Hands down Best swimbait ever made. It action is fairly subtle and very fishy. The 5 and 12 have been the most productive for me. The 0 (which I haven't spent enough time with) is a very subtle top water. excellent deadstick bait. I love the 5 around shallow cover. On the fall the 5 has a very "senko like wiggle" that gets smashed. The 12 and 16 are excellent bottom bouncers. At 8" it is the perfect size. Big enough to get lots of attention but small enough that a 4#er has no trouble engulfing the bait. I cant say enough good things about this bait. you cant put into words how sick this bait really is. If you haven't fished a 8" huddleston Deluxe Swimbait you need to. This is THE BAIT. review by sethb
