Lucky Craft Fat CB BDS-3
The Lucky Craft Fat CB
BDS 3 is a non-rattle bait with our air floating concept. Thanks to optimized buoyancy made possible through the use of an intricate internal structure, this plastic crankbait behaves like a balsa wood lure and delivers outstanding obstacle deflection. The lip design and hook positions are specifically designed to come through the thickest of cover. Also, the weight of
the Lucky Craft Fat CB
BDS 3 is intentionally fixed for quick recovery, after the bait hits an object to come back to the center of the retrieve. In addition, the Fat CB is crafted larger, creating a wide wobble and rolling action to attract fish in a wide spread area.

The Lucky Craft Fat CB BDS-3 series of cranks are in my opinion another home run!! Out of the pack they run true, and with just a little practice can be made to "track" generating explosive strikes.
The CB BDS-3 series of course come with super sticky hooks, superb color patterns and exceptional finishes. The baits run and mimic more like a high quality Balsa bait better than any other bait I've ever thrown! I can get- em down to 6-8" on 10lb Flourocarbon line, try that with a Balsa bait!! They come through the nastiest cover with ease, and with just a little "water time" I could work loose the worst hang-up, something really hard to do with other baits in this class. Now that these baits can be purchased with or without rattles it just adds to their "must have" status. In my humble opinion Lucky Craft has done it again.

BDS3-the first plastic square bill to challenge the wooden boys

While square bill crankbaits have been popular for years the BDS3 is the first plastic square bill to gain the same popularity as the wooden versions. Although the BDS3 isn't really a shallow diver (it dives 5-6ft) it is still a good crankbait for fishing shallower cover. Since its a LC bait it has great colors and components. It has an action that is very close to what you would see in a wooden bait. I don't know how they do it but the action is incredible. You hear a lot about shallow runners having a hunting action and Lucky Craft lures are the only plastic baits I have seen with this action. Even if you don't use plastic crankbaits you would be hard pressed to find a wooden square bill that dives to 5-6 feet. For fishing grass the BDS baits seem to work better at coming through grass than any shallow runners I have used. In fact in all the BDS baits are what I use most often for my shallow cranking anymore. The BDS3 being my choice for catching bigger sized bass or when fish are feeding on bigger prey. Its worth noting for clear water no other shallow runners have the color selection the BDS baits do. In clearer water I have a BDS3 in ghost bluegill that is my go to bait. I actually wish LC had a bait the size of a BDS3 that ran shallower. The rattles are another plus no wooden shallow runners have a rattle as good as the BDS baits. In short they are great baits.
