The Lucky Craft Staysee 90 was produced to creep towards bass with a pumping retrieve, pausing for a long time to irritate them during the spawning season when females are still protecting their bed. The suitability of the Lucky Craft Staysee 90 for slow fishing achieved by a pumping retrieve comes from the tight rolling action produced from the beautiful body shape and lip angle. Only the Staysee makes it possible to get close to and attract bass in medium shallow water without causing alarm through its detailed vibration and biomechanical movement.

The only deeper diving jerkbait I use
Michael Carter (Winchester, KY) 1/8/2009 9:43 AM
When fish are a little deep for a regular suspending jerkbait I go for the Staysee 90s. The Staysee gets you a little deeper for fish. The Staysee unlike traditional jerkbaits seems to work better when it is pumped instead of using traditional short jerks. It works anytime but does really well in the colder months when fish are a little deeper. Like all Lucky Craft baits the Staysee looks great and just as importantly casts great unlike many other jerkbaits. The thing to remember is long pauses in colder water and dont overwork the bait. The tackle you use is critical I throw my jerkbaits on a short limber cranking rod but any limber rod will do I just use a shorter rod because I am not tall and I dont want to slap the water. Florocarbon also gets the bait deeper which can be key. The big thing is make sure you have some visibility before you fish jerkbaits. I think a deeper jerkbait is key to a good jerkbait selection and the Staysee is the only one I use. sb-mrbassky1
