| Picasso Shakedown heads use a
patent-pending flexible nickel titanium spring (bait keeper) along with a
cross-eye Gamakatsu hook to give you the best shakey style head on the
market. The flexible nickel titanium spring always comes back to position after
each fish without breaking.
Because of its super soft
elasticity, the spring allows the entire hook gap to be maintained during hook
set. The give of the spring allows anglers to lock down and shake their
plastics in cover or skip docks without ever losing or tearing the soft
plastics. Because of the springs small size, finesse worms (such as Roboworms or
other thin hand poured plastics) can be rigged very straight with no hump.
It also prevents the plastic from tearing.
Picasso Shakedown heads are
coated with the super tough Duraseal process, increasing the sensitivity and
allowing them to hold up like no other on the market.
Picasso Shakedown heads use a 3/0 hook in the
1/16oz., 3/32oz., 1/8oz., and 3/16oz. sizes;
They use a 4/0 hook for the 1/4oz.
size. (3 per package in all sizes)

I use Picasso shakedown heads exclusively for shaky heading. They come with quality hooks and they stand up to some abuse. Hooks come sharp, so they require no sharpening. I love the screw for holding the nose of your bait. A little tip, bite off a little bit of your trick worm to make it easier to screw the head of the worm on.

My pick for screw-in shakey head

I use two types of shakey heads screw-ins, and traditional with barb keepers. I prefer the screwin heads when fishing with smaller worms that are hard to keep on the barb. The shakedown is the screwin head I use. The first thing I look at is the spring and the shakedown spring is perfect. First it is small so it doesn't tear up the worm and can be inserted in the same worm several times. Also it flexes which means it wont break off and I think it helps the worm flex and you get better hookups to some degree. Another big consideration for me is size selection and the shakedown comes in every size I use especially my favorite the hard to find 3/32oz head. The head is balanced right and has the right size hooks also. The hook is great and while it is the most important part of a jighead there are lots of good jigheads with quality hooks. The paint on the heads looks sharp and you don't have to clean the eye out when you get a jighead. It looks great and the paint holds up well but it isn't a must have on jigheads for me personally. These are the only jigheads I use for small worms and I think if you use a shakey head for small worms and it doesnt have the characteristics I described then you should try these.
