Sebile Magic Swimmer

Magic swimmer, more like seductive swimmer!! This bait will lull you to sleep with it's silky smooth lazy S pattern yet trigger Betsy to inhale this bait as if it was her last meal. I prefer the 165 and 228. Perfect size and weight and easy to cast for extended periods of time. Casts a mile and has a nice steady sink rate. Burn, rip it or slow roll. This is a very versatile bait that you can cover a ton of water with. You can keep it up high and reel fast, creating a wake on the water. Reel it slow and and cover deeper water. Or my favorite, fish it kind of like a rip bait. Change the pace of the swimming motion, jerk it, stall it, etc. Very effective for active fish. Top quality hooks and split rings come stock, so no need to change them out. Colors are pretty good. Stick with the shad imitations or blue back herring and you should be all set. SN name: bd pettit

I purchased some last spring and was able to throw them this summer. Durability is great. The colors are great on these lures except the rainbow trout isnt a great trout imitation. First some basics. These baits are listed as slow sink but actually they sink faster than you would expect. This is not good if you plan on slow waking the bait. You can wake them but you have to work a little making long cast and reeling at fast pace from the get go. The good news is that these baits seem to stay at the depth you want and dont rise to the top like most swimbaits. You can let the bait sink a little and on a slower retrieve you fish that depth fairly easy. I havent fished them deeper than 5 ft but still thats more versatile than alot of swimbaits. And the good thing about the weight these suckers cast a MILE. I threw a 125 for muskie on a MUSKIE rod with a leader and all and it still casted great even on an oversized outfit. I would throw the 95 on a regular cranking rod and the 125s on what you throw your heavier spinnerbaits. The actions of these lure vary depending on the size. The 95s have a very tight action while the 228s have a wide action. The lures can be twitched and gliding action that is impressive. And with practice you can get the 180 turn. My best sucess came from burning the 125 over milfoil. The best quality of these baits in my opinion is the fact that they can be burned and NEVER roll over. Its hard to compare the smaller 95 to the 228 but one thing I think they all have in common is they are great search baits. At the low cost and light weights these lures can be cast all day at long distances and not wear out the angler. Alot of tournament success has already came using the Magic swimmer as a search lure. The fact is not many swimbaits can match the Magic Swimmers price and there isnt a swimbait on the market the size of the 165 and 228 that can match the quality for the price.
