Tru-Tungsten Hack Attack Frog Hook

For what it offers the Hack Attack Frog Hook (HAFH-for short) offers some great qualities. First off it allows you fish plastic frogs faster without rollovers. This is probably the biggest knock on plastic frogs and this hooks solves it. Then there is the fact that it allows for better hookups. Again a great advantage. No question more money would have been won in the past on frogs if this hook were available. Also frogs last longer. This also seems true. While these claims are all true I found some big problems with HAFH. First off its alot harder to rig than the package says. There are two ways your supposed to be able to rig the frog with this hook but only rigging before tying my frog on worked for me. A fair sacrifice. The hooks come in packs of two and what I found was the hooks are not the exact same dimensions. 1 hook I found was almost impossible to rig (too wide between hooks). While it may save frogs when rig it cost me a frog trying to get it rigged. Trutungsten may fix this problem in manufacturing but for now its at least a concern. I just felt I had to mention the problem in an honest review. But still I consider the HAFH a must have for fishing plastic frogs it allows you do things with a plastic frog you never could before and the hookups are incredible. If you dont fish a plastic frog then you wont need this hook. But if you do or you have in the past but didnt like dealing with the bad hooking % or the frog rolling over then I consider this the only way to rig a plastic frog. Just be aware you might get a mishaped hook occasionally.
