Tru-Tungsten Tru-Life 5 inch Swimbaits

I purchased the chrome/blue back and used it several times up at Falcon lake. It performed well. I caught quite a few bass on the bait, but where it really shined was in saltwater. Like the other review said, the paint job isn't great. Good thing any Tom, Joe, Dick, or Harry can repaint a chrome blue back bait with spray paint and clear coat. So the only thing I was disappointed with was the quality of the hooks. The first kingfish that nailed the lure straightened out both of the treble hooks. I replaced them with a size two and size four owner saltwater stinger hooks. Easy switch of the hook. Overall, I like it.

Quality components are the only reason I gave it three stars and not less. The paint job on these is really Bush League. They went to the trouble of molding in plenty of detail only to cover it up with a lousy paint job. For a bait with four sections, the action leaves a lot to be desired. If you like to tinker with actions and have an eye and hand for air brushing, go for it. Otherwise, steer clear.
