MrBassky1 hit the nail on the head with this bait. It is such a versatile worm. The one thing that I would add is that it's a great alternative to the Senko. Rig it weedless and weightless and pitch it around shallow isolated cover or to any shallow cruiser that you see and hold on. Try color 031 around the beds with the tail dyed chartreuse. My secret finesse bait

The cut tail is a versatile bait. You can fish it on a shakey head or drop shot or texas rig or carolina rig. But I have other options I like better for these applications. The way I fish a cut tail worm is like an old slider worm. It has a subtle action when you swim it slowly and you can fish it weedless or on a jighead. I keep some in my finesse box I keep it simple just a couple shades of green because its a clear water bait. But this rig works great when you want to cover water. I usually rig it on a small 1/8oz sinker and 2/0 hook and fish it on a spinning rod. But you can go up in weight or down depending on depth. And without a doubt this is my wifes favorite bait. I can give her this bait on a spinning rod and she always catches some fish. Think about it-its weedless, it cast good on a spinning rod, all you need to do is reel it in slowly, and you dont need to jerk hard just put pressure on fish with the light hook and thin worm. Its a great rig for beginners and is as easy an rig to fish as you will find. I think these worms are the new slider worms and would be a great addition to any finesse box especially if you have kids or a spouce who want to have fun. PS-they are great for filling a limit
