Last winter I was looking everywhere for these and was ecstatic when I found them. But when I tried them my excitement was turned to disappointment. The bootail just isn't great and while it does have some action I cant see myself ever using one of these over a good hollow belly. The one application this beats a hollow belly is as a trailer. The swimming Senko doesn't work great fished fast but when you want to slow roll a spinnerbait or chatterbait it is very nice. It is more solid so it stays on the bait better than traditional swimbaits. I plan on trying one on a buzzbait next spring as well. But the way it may end up really finding its niche is texas rigged. Unlike most swimbaits a swimsenko can work on texas rig. Gary Yamamoto made a run at a Kentucky Lake BASS tournament two years ago fishing grass with one of these. I haven't tried this much yet but it is something I will try for sure.
