It's my go to worm. Use a very light bullet sinker 3/0 worm hook in the junebug color, and watch your line. Plain and simple this bait catches fish (in the stained northern New Jersey ponds I fish.)

While new baits have stolen its thunder the standard ribbon tail worm still catches fish. It works on a Carolina rig or Texas rig. You can flip it, cast it or pit chit. You could argue no bait has put more fish in the boat than a ribbon tail worm. The zoom u-tale is a good solid worm. The colors are decent and the plastic is on the soft side which gives the bait a great action. The plastic worm is still one of the best baits you can use when casting a Texas rig especially around grass. This explains why worms like this one are so popular in Florida. The trick is to use the lightest weight you can get away with. And keep your worm fishing simple. I stick with purples and greens most of the time. For ponds you cant get a better bait and they are cheap so you wont mind losing a couple. But worms work around other places as well. The Classic was won once on a worm fished around docks. I throw mine on a 7mh rod you don't want too heavy a rod unless your flipping. You can shorten you rod if fishing is difficult, a short rod makes you move your bait less. You probably know what a worm is you don't use one often pick some U-tales up and try them.
